Dr. Tiffany Blake, director of MU Show-Me Opera and Assistant Professor of Voice, received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Opera Stage Direction from the Eastman School of Music, where she also earned her Master of Music degree and was awarded the prestigious Performer's Certificate. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Sonoma State University in Northern California.

She has served on the faculties of Syracuse University, Alfred University and Sonoma State University. In addition to many opera scenes programs, Dr. Blake’s directing credits include Suor Angelica, Dido and Aeneas, The Old Maid and the Thief and La Canterina for the University of Missouri School of Music and The Cradle will Rock for the Eastman School of Music Opera Workshop.

Dr. Blake's operatic roles include the title role in Carlisle Floyd's Susannah, Despina in Mozart's Così fan tutte, the character of Anne Sexton in Conrad Susa’s Transformations, Lady Saphir in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience, Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone and Miss Pinkerton in Menotti's The Old Maid and the Thief with Eastman Opera Theater and Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen with the Missouri Symphony. Other solo engagements have included appearances with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Columbia Civic Orchestra and the Vermont Youth Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Blake has a special interest in song literature, and has given several recitals in New York and California, including a radio broadcast for Opus: Classics Live NPR in Buffalo, New York.
