Audition Information and Repertoire: All new and returning woodwind, brass, percussion, and string students must play an audition the week of August 24 for ensemble placement. The schedule of auditions can be found via the link above (“overview of Fall 2009 auditions”).

Audition Sign-Up Sheets: Sign-up sheets for woodwind, brass, and percussion are in Loeb Hall, outside Room 201. Sign-up sheets for strings are in the Fine Arts Building, on the bulletin board across from Room 138.

Audition Location: All auditions are in Loeb Hall, in 201 (large rehearsal room), except for the string auditions on Wednesday, August 26, which will be in Loeb 112.

Woodwind, brass, and percussion players: Please prepare the band excerpts for your instrument. In addition, players interested in or expecting to play in the University Philharmonic should also prepare the orchestra excerpts for their instrument. Please prepare all excerpts for your instrument on the linked page(s). (Students who do not prepare the orchestral excerpts may still be placed in the University Philharmonic at the discretion of the faculty audition panel.)

String players: New string players should prepare the orchestral excerpts for their instrument and be prepared to play a short solo of their choice. Returning string players should prepare the orchestral excerpts for their instrument only.
