Audition Day Information

On Audition Days prospective students should report to Fine Arts Building room 134 for registration. The reception will be in the lobby. Parking passes will be provided at the registration table. You will need to immediately return to your car and post the parking pass. The School of Music will provide lunch the day of your audition.

Practice Rooms will be provided to warm up prior to your audition.

Current School of Music students will be on hand to answer any questions you or your parents may have throughout the day.

General Schedule information - Times are subject to change
  • 7:45 a.m. - Reception/Registration – audition time assignments
  • 8:30 a.m. – General Meeting: Welcome and Discussion of the day's schedule
  • 9:15 a.m. – Students will take their vocal or instrumental audition at this time. Interview for students majoring in composition, theory, or history will also take place during this time. Parents may attend a general meeting where they can meet with Admissions, Financial Aid and Housing representatives. Following their audition, students are welcome to join this meeting.
  • 11:30 a.m. - Lunch (Group 1)
  • 12:15 p.m. - Lunch (Group 2)
  • 1:45-2:30 p.m. - Focusing on Your Degree Plan Information Session: Music Performance, Composition, Music Theory, Music History, or Music Minor and Focusing on Your Degree Plan: Music Education

  • 1:45-2:30 p.m. - Auditions for students interested ONLY in Marching Mizzou
