Marching Mizzou Ireland Trip - Day 3 (March 17, 2016)

Today is the third day of Marching Mizzou's trip to Ireland. We woke up early to get ready for the St. Patrick's Day festival parade that took place in Dublin. This is the 100th Anniversary of Easter Uprising, which made this day even more special.

Marching Mizzou was the last band in the parade, so we were fortunate enough to listen and meet band members from around the world. We got to see members from the Old Dominion Marching Band and Colorado School of Mines Band. The parade lasted about 2 hours and was about 1.5 miles long. We had an amazing time! Video from the parade can be found at rte.ie/player/ie/live/8/  or various posts on our Twitter and Facebook page. We will post more videos to our social media pages when we get them!

Marching Mizzou got the highest score of all bands in the parade, which shows we definitely are the Best Band in the Land! After the parade, the band had free time in downtown Dublin near the parade route. Around 5 p.m., we took the buses back to the hotel for dinner. The remainder of the night is free for members to celebrate the holiday! Tomorrow we have a city tour of Dublin, Guinness Storehouse tour and St. Patrick's Cathedral. To see pictures from today, visit our Facebook and Twitter pages!
