May 22-Day 9

Our day began when we departed the ferry in Tallinn, Estonia. The choir took a “Hop On/Hop Off” bus tour of the city. We saw sights like the Botanical Gardens, Singing Festival grounds, Old Town, numerous cathedrals, and more.

May 23-Day 10

In the morning, we enjoyed a walking tour of the “Old Town” in Tallinn. We enjoyed the shopping, cafes, restaurants, and parks of the city. In the evening, we rehearsed with our host choir in preparation for our final concert. It was a pleasure to rehearse both American as well as Estonian music together.

May 24-Day 11

Our final morning was spent on our own. Choir members finished shopping, touring, or resting. Our final concert was a tremendous success. The well-attended concert was an emotional experience for all singers. For many singers, this was their final performance with the ensemble. It was a powerful and moving experience.

May 25-Day 12

We departed for the airport at 4am. It’s going to be a long day! We plan to arrive in Chicago at 12 noon and make the final leg of the trip via bus. It’s good to be back.
