The Mizzou Double Reed Day features break-out sessions for oboe and bassoon, MU faculty/student recital, reed-making “petting zoo,” and a Grand Finale Double Reed Day Band performance including all participants. MU professors Dan Willett (oboe) and Leigh Muñoz (bassoon) will host this event that is specifically directed at middle school and high school oboists and bassoonists of all ability levels. The Double Reed Day offers an ideal opportunity to further develop solo repertoire for upcoming district and state solo festivals and grow in many other areas of double reed playing.
Mizzou Double Reed Day events are open to all students, band directors, and parents.
Cost: $20 per student participant | Free for band directors, private teachers, and/or parents
