The MU School of Music is delighted to announce that tenor Kyle Stegall will be joining our faculty this coming fall as a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Voice.  Professor Stegall comes to us from the University of Nebraska-Omaha where he has been teaching applied voice, song literature, and lyric diction.  He holds a Masters degree from the University of Michigan and an Artists Diploma from Yale.  But we are most proud of his undergraduate degree in vocal performance from the University of Missouri from 2009!  He's taken the last ten years to sing literally around the world.  His singing has been praised for its “clarity and urgency” by Opera News.  The New York Times said “The most impressive by far was Kyle Stegall, the tenor who sang the demanding part of the Evangelist with lovely tone, ardent expression and good diction.”  Kyle already has a busy performance schedule throughout this next year and is excited to continue his career while teaching at his alma mater.
