Dr. Brandon A. Boyd is an active composer/arranger, clinician, conductor, pianist, and teacher. He holds a Ph.D. in choral conducting and music education and a M.M. in choral conducting from Florida State University. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in music education (choral emphasis) from Tennessee State University.
His research areas of interests include community service partnerships and field experience for music therapy and choral music education students. He currently co-directs three community FSU partnerships: The Tallahassee Senior Choir, The RAA Middle School, and The MTC Women’s Prison Glee Club. Each choir is designed to geared towards choral teacher preparation and disposition.
He also holds memberships with several organizations, including the American Choral Directors’ Association (ACDA), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), National Association of Negro Musicians (NANM), American Guild of Organists (AGO), and Chorus America. His choral works are published with Hinshaw Music and GIA Publications.
