Mrs. Thalhuber is a color guard director with over 20 years of performance and coaching experience. Originally from Oakville HS color guard in St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Thalhuber is an alumnus of the Marching Mizzou Color Guard Program where she performed for five years and captain for three. Mrs. Thalhuber also performed with independent winter guards Joie De Vivre and Vivace until her age-out.

Mrs. Thalhuber began her career as a Color Guard Director in 2008 at Rock Bridge HS where she worked for five years. Afterwards she created competitive guard programs at Oakland Middle School (2012), Lange Middle School (2013), and Battle High School (2013). All of which she is currently directing.

In the fall of 2017, Mrs. Thalhuber launched The University of Missouri’s Ionic Winter Guard as director for the 2018 season. Since Ionic’s beginning they have achieved several successes including gold medalist at the Mid-Continent Color Guard Association Championships and a top ten finish in Winter Guard International World Championships is past 2021 season.

Mrs. Thalhuber runs the fall Marching Mizzou Color Guard program as well as Ionic Winter Guard. Mrs. Thalhuber holds a BS from The University of Missouri in Hotel and Restaurant Management and an MS from University of Central Missouri in Career and Technology Education. She currently teaches Family and Consumer Science, Color Guard, and Winter Guard at Battle HS in Columbia.
