Music in the American Wild - American Aviatrix

-

In celebration of the 2020 centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment, the American Wild Ensemble created a commission and performance program inspired by pioneering women aviators Bessie Coleman and Amelia Earhart. Two new works by Ingrid Stölzel (Earhart) and Carolina Heredia (Coleman) were supported by a 2019 Artistic Innovations Grant from the Mid-America Arts Alliance and slated to be performed around Missouri and Kansas in April 2020.

This project is generously funded by the Mid-America Arts Alliance, the National Endownment for the Arts, and the state arts agencies of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Livestream will be available on the School of Music YouTube page.
