Voice

As a voice major at Mizzou, you'll have many opportunities to perform, both as a soloist and as a member of an ensemble. Everyone has an hour-long private lesson each week, in addition to a weekly studio class. There are a variety of choral ensembles, which, along with a thriving opera workshop, rehearse several times each week. Students also have the opportunity to work with instrumentalists in the rehearsal and performance of chamber works.

Voice students participate in concerts and recitals on campus, such as the Voice/Piano Collaborative Recital with Fortepiano, and the Friends of Music Gala, a showcase of classical Music Theatre selections. The Opera Workshop presents scenes every fall semester, and a fully staged production and a program of staged arias each spring semester.
